'Lithium ion batteries should be called nickel-graphite'
Tesla CEO Elon Musk and chief technical officer JB Straubel have attempted to play down the role of lithium in a lithium ion battery by suggesting they should be called nickel-graphite cells, but inadvertently could have given themselves further supply headaches by shining the spot light on more critical raw materials the EV manufacturer will need.
