Cash is king in lithium space

Chinese battery metal producer Ganfeng Lithium has been busy in August, buying SQM’s 37.5% stake in Lithium Americas’ Cauchari-Olaroz project in Argentina for US$87.5 million, and signing a supply agreement with Korea’s LG Chem to supply 47,600 tonnes of lithium.
