Podcast: Red 5's Mark Williams

Mining Journal/MiningNews.net group editor Richard Roberts spoke with Red 5 managing director Mark Williams while visiting the company’s King of the Hills and Darlot gold mines, north of Leonora in Western Australia. Red 5 has FY21 production guidance for Darlot of 90,000-98,000oz at AISC of A$1,830-$2,030/oz. At King of the Hills it is about to start building a new four million tonnes per annum process plant scheduled to commence operation in mid-2022.

With reserve development at Darlot, and delivery of the 160,000-200,000ozpa King of the Hills project, Red 5 is aiming to become a 250,000-300,000ozpa WA-focused producer from FY23.

Williams was asked about ongoing efforts to reduce costs and boost cash flow from Darlot, and the latest on the company's financing and development schedule for King of the Hills.
