Junior carnage continues
Ratings agency Moody’s said this week the mining sector faced only “moderate exposure” to Covid-19 and was considerably better placed in the short term than airlines, shipping, car manufacturers and tourism to weather the storm. While that is doubtless true of the large, diversified players with strong balance sheets, life for a junior explorer – pretty much regardless of region – is a very different story.
