Kinross takes BonTerra stake

Canadian gold producer Kinross Gold Corporation has paid C$5.2 million for a 9.5% stake in Abitibi gold belt explorer BonTerra Resources (TSX-V: BTR), taking 14.85 million shares in a private placement at 35c. Trading at that level, BonTerra had a market capitalisation of about $32.4 million this week.
