Nighthawk benefits from greater ambition

With a new CEO at the helm, Nighthawk Gold has been more aggressive in its exploration and increasing the possibilities of its Indin Lake gold project in Northwest Territories in Canada. The company just released a resource update which saw a 121% jump in indicated open pit contained ounces to 2 million ounces from 933,400oz as the resource increased to 46.4 million tonnes grading 1.38 grams per tonne. The company also saw a big jump in inferred resources to 7.8Mt grading 2.39g/t for 601,000oz. Mining Journal spoke with president and CEO Keyvan Salehi to find out more.
